In this image, he had to create a work of art inspired by Romare Bearden. Let me get this out the way, I spent too much time on the background so I didn't get to finish gluing down things the things I wanted, but I'll tell what I managed to put down and what I wanted to actually put down.
Basically, the project is supposed to look like a yoga room or a hangout with three big windows. I wanted to do a yellow/blue contradicting color scheme overall with the piece. In the background sort of ombre tile background with the blue helping the bright color and the actual texture sort of pop-out more. The only thing in the room is a yoga mat made of yarn but I also wanted to glue on people exercising, talking to each other, drinking coffee, or looking outside.
In the windows, it was supposed to show the past, present, and future goals I had. The one goal I had placed in time was the university/college I want to attend after senior year. The building is an excerpt on reading online vs. reading on hard copy books to imply I'd still need to read in school despite the art.
The past window was supposed to be me walking into a Kroger with a car on the side implying I wanted a job and car and that's it. And the present window was supposed to have city buildings with mountains in the background implying I want to travel also with a car because I am still working on driving but the job I will put to the side for later.
